Get started

Your first week

What to do after connecting, in order: brand memory, positioning, a watchlist, first posts, and the first review. About two hours of work spread over seven days.

Why the order matters

First100 gets better the more it knows about you and the more it has measured. Everything your agent writes is shaped by the brand profile, and every finding it reports comes from your own published posts. The first week feeds it: who you are, who you are for, who your audience already listens to, and a handful of real posts to learn from. Each step is one instruction to your agent; copy it as written.

Day 1: Connect your agent

Choose a plan, add First100 to the agent you already use, and check that it can see your account.

Ask your agent
Use First100 to check my account status and list my connected accounts.

Client setup

Day 1: Give it your brand

Start from your website so the agent proposes facts instead of asking twenty questions. Then correct what it got wrong and add what a site never says: the tone you actually write in, the topics you refuse to touch, your timezone and the hours you are around to reply. Good pillars are three to six themes you could post about for a year, such as “pricing for solo founders” rather than “marketing”.

Ask your agent
Use First100 to research my brand from https://yourdomain.com, show me the proposed profile, then ask me for tone, banned topics, timezone and posting hours before saving it.

Brand profile

Day 1: Nail the positioning

Positioning is the sentence the agent leans on for every hook: who it is for, what they get, and why you over the obvious alternative. Weak positioning produces posts that could be from anyone. Have the agent draft it from your profile and the pages ranking for your category, then argue until one sentence survives. It is saved as the brand description.

Ask your agent
Read my First100 brand profile and compare my landing page with two competitors using compare_seo. Draft three positioning statements of the form 'for X who Y, Z is the only W that V'. Tell me which one only we can say, and why. Then update the brand description with the winner.

Day 2: Build the watchlist

Reach on X comes from replying early on accounts your audience already follows, not from posting into silence. Pick ten to thirty accounts five to twenty times your size that post about your pillars: founders in your space, people who write about your customer’s problem, tools you integrate with. This is what the reply radar reads every morning.

Ask your agent
Suggest 20 X and Bluesky accounts my audience follows that post about my pillars, roughly 5x to 20x my size. Show me the list with a one-line reason each, remove the ones I reject, then save the rest to my First100 watchlist.

Edit the watchlist

Day 2: Connect accounts, keep drafts on

Connect the platforms you will actually use. Leave auto-publish off for the first week so every post waits for your approval; you want to see what the agent writes before it goes out. Tracked links stay on, so the first click is already attributed.

Connected accounts

Day 3: Plan and approve the first posts

Ask for a small plan, not a month. Five to eight posts across the week is enough to learn from and short enough to review carefully. Vary the hooks on purpose: the learning loop needs contrast to tell you anything. Approve from the table the agent shows or in the calendar.

Ask your agent
Run the First100 plan_content prompt for the next 7 days on the platforms I have connected. Vary the hooks deliberately: two posts that open with a number, two that ask a question, two plain claims. Show me the drafts in a table before saving.

Calendar

Days 4 to 7: The morning brief

Once posts are live, start each day with the brief: yesterday’s numbers, the five conversations worth joining in the next hour with a drafted reply for each, and the one post to publish today. Replies are the fastest reach you can get. Every reply is posted by you from your own account; First100 never replies for you. Five minutes a day.

Ask your agent
Run the First100 morning_brief prompt.

Day 7: The first review

By now the daily refresh has measured your first posts. The growth review reads what worked on your own account, the funnel from impressions to clicks, and the queue, and ends with three concrete changes for next week that you confirm before the agent applies them. With fewer than about six posts per pattern the findings are hypotheses. Week two tests them.

Ask your agent
Run the First100 growth_review prompt for the last 7 days.

Growth

Week two and after: Keep the loop running

The daily brief and the weekly review are the product. Add a blog post when you have something worth ranking for: the write_blog prompt researches what already ranks and where competitors are weak before a word is written. Add a one-line ping from your site so the funnel shows signups and paid, not just clicks. When the watchlist stops surfacing good conversations, refresh it. Audiences move.

Ask your agent
Run the First100 write_blog prompt for the topic: <the search query you want to own>.
